Baby Gifts features contemporary designs by well-known designers such as Sasha Kagan, Nicky Epstein, Jo Sharp, and Jean Moss, while Vintage Knits includes patterns reminiscent of knitwear styles from the 1920s to the 1970s. Patterns are graded by level of difficulty from very easy to expert, with most settling into the intermediate range. Readers of Vogue Knitting magazine will recognize the excellent instructions and illustrations; librarians will be pleased that these latest additions to the series appear to have sturdier bindings. A good choice for any public library knitting collection, but if you can only purchase one, Baby Gifts will give you more knockout designs for the money.
